The JGRA is calling on the Energy Minister to fast forward the process for compensating the motorists who presented claims related to the “Bad Gas Saga”.

Motorists are yet to receive compensation, even though claims have been submitted to prove that their motor vehicles were damaged by the contaminated gas.  The Petroleum Trade Reform Committee made intensive investigations, however the report was inconclusive; as no pointed evidence could be established as to who was at fault.

The JGRA believes that as a goodwill gesture and in the interest of the motoring public, the Energy Minister should bring the matter to a close by finding a way to compensate the affected motorists.
