Water supply disruption affects sections of Clarendon

National Water Commission | 2016-06-14 00:00:00

The National Water Commission is advising customers in some sections of Clarendon that the disruption in service they are currently experiencing, is as a result of an electro/mechanical fault affecting operations at the Lionel Town Deep Well and the New Town Relift #2 Water Treatment Plant.

Affected areas are:

Lionel Town, Portland Cottage, and Monymusk Housing Scheme.

Restoration of regular service can be expected by Wednesday, June 15, 2016.

Meanwhile customers in the Prospect Housing Scheme, phases 1 and 2 are still experiencing a disruption in service due to challenges impacting operations at the Prospect Deep Well.

Customers are being advised that starting today Monday, June 13, 2016, water will be trucked to the affected areas until the situation is corrected.

The NWC regrets any inconvenience caused.
