The highly anticipated second season of the Reality TV show, JPS PowerSmart Energy Challenge is finally here.  Season two of the energy company’s ground breaking, fun-filled reality show, will commence this Sunday on TVJ, at 9:30pm.

Jamaica will watch four families compete to see who can reduce their electricity consumption by the greatest amount and fight to the finish during thrilling physical and mental challenges. In their bid for the coveted winnings of up to one million dollars in cash and prizes, the families will each receive support from their very own JPS Energy Mentor, assigned to assist them in taking home the glory.

JPS Head of Marketing, Tishan Lee explains, “We’re re-imagining energy, so we had to step way outside of our customers’ expectations in order to capture and keep their attention. These four energetic families are pulling out all the stops to help us redefine energy efficiency in the minds of all consumers and they’re being handsomely rewarded in the process. You’ve never seen power in this light; Sundays at 9:30pm on TVJ is officially the new ‘must see TV’,” Lee enthused.

Last year’s winner was the Hall Family from St. Ann, who walked away with a million dollars in cash and prizes after pulling off a dramatic 70% reduction in their energy consumption.  All other participants in the competition were treated to an array of gifts and cash awards. The PowerSmart Energy Challenge is hosted by former Miss Jamaica and popular media personality, Yendi Phillips and will run for eight weeks on TVJ.  Customers can learn more about the JPS PowerSmart Energy Challenge and win prizes via the JPS Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
