Northern Caribbean University’s Department of Communication Studies presents “Exhale”: a Mental Health Symposium and Lime at The Verandah, Juici Patties Head Office, Clarendon Park, May Pen on April 14, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

The event features the screening of “The Blind Stigma” an award winning documentary film produced and directed by Stacy Buchanan, a Mental Health Advocate out of Toronto, Canada. The film has been featured on CP24, CityTV, G98.7 FM,  Huffington Post and Bell Let's Talk.

“Shedding a light on issues that impact our multicultural society is crucial, and I feel there is a strong audience who will benefit from learning more about this powerful documentary and the experiences captured within it. Most importantly, it would be an absolute honor to share my documentary in my homeland”, shares Buchanan. The documentary will be screened in Jamaica for the first time during the event.

Following the screening of the documentary, patrons will be entertained by the sitting band, and are free to mix, mingle, and capture the moments in the naturally beautiful environs of The Verandah.

Attire should be semi-formal. Admission is free, and all are invited to attend.

Exhale aims to create an environment where mental health is the sole topic of discussion and attendees are motivated to take action toward addressing the stigmas attached.
