An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Production Operating Technician to join the Digestion team at Jamalco. Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, this position is accountable for:

• Ensuring that daily operations of the process are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner;

• Operating the Total Distributive Control System to monitor and control the Plant process;

• Monitoring and coordinating daily operations of the process and making timely decisions on adverse effects that may impact the process and advise other departments that are likely to be affected by these decisions;

• Communicating fl ow changes and conditions to the customers and suppliers and keeping appropriate records of process changes and shift results.

To be considered the incumbent must have:-

• Tertiary Level entry qualifications;

• At least 5 years experience in the Bayer Process;

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

• Excellent computer skills.
